5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Bowls

The stainless steel bowls are removable and can be washed with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before placing them back into the feeder.

5.2 Cleaning the Feeder Unit

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove any batteries before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the feeder with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  • Clean the food outlet and any accessible internal parts with a dry brush or cloth to remove kibble residue.
  • Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling and reconnecting power.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Feeder not dispensing food:
    • Check if the power adapter is securely connected or if batteries are installed correctly and have sufficient charge.
    • Ensure the food hopper is not empty.
    • Verify that the kibble size is within the recommended 2-20mm range. Larger kibble can cause blockages.
    • Inspect the food outlet for any obstructions and clear them carefully.
  • Food jamming:
    • This feeder features an anti-clogging design. If jamming occurs, check kibble size and ensure no foreign objects are in the hopper.
    • Clean the dispensing mechanism if residue buildup is suspected.
  • Uneven food distribution:
    • Ensure the dual bowl base is correctly and securely attached to the feeder unit.
    • Check for any blockages in the food channels leading to the bowls.
  • Feeder not turning on:
    • Confirm the power adapter is plugged into a working outlet and securely connected to the feeder.
    • If using batteries, ensure they are new or fully charged and inserted with correct polarity.
