3. Setup and Butane Refilling

The HONEST 505 Jet Torch is shipped without butane gas and must be refilled before first use. Use only high-quality butane gas for optimal performance and safety.

Butane Refilling Instructions:

1. Ensure the torch is completely off. Turn the gas adjustment wheel fully to the right (closed position).
2. Invert the torch. Hold the torch upside down to expose the refill valve at the bottom.
3. Select the correct adapter. The package includes 3 red accessories for different gas tank ports. Choose the adapter that fits your butane gas canister nozzle securely.
4. Insert butane nozzle. Firmly press the butane gas canister nozzle (with adapter, if needed) into the torch's refill valve.
5. Refill. Hold for approximately 10 seconds. You may hear a hissing sound and see some liquid butane escaping, which is normal.
6. Allow gas to stabilize. After refilling, wait a few minutes for the gas to stabilize and reach room temperature before attempting to ignite the torch. This helps prevent irregular flames.

Note: Butane gas is not included with the torch.

4. Operating Instructions

Ignition and Flame Adjustment:

1. Open Gas Valve: Turn the gas adjustment wheel to the left (counter-clockwise) to release butane gas. A slight hiss may be heard.
2. Ignite Flame: Press the ignition button to activate the piezo igniter and light the flame. The flame will remain lit as long as the gas valve is open.
3. Adjust Flame Size: Continue turning the gas adjustment wheel to the left to increase the flame size and intensity. Turn it to the right to decrease the flame size.
4. Extinguish Flame: To turn off the torch, turn the gas adjustment wheel fully to the right (clockwise) until the flame extinguishes completely and the valve is securely closed.

Dual Flame Mode:

The torch features two flame modes: a precise jet flame and a softer, wider flame. This allows for versatility in various tasks.

• Switching Modes: Rotate the plastic jacket around the nozzle to adjust the air intake.
• Jet Flame: With the air inlet fully open (U-shaped cutouts aligned), the torch produces a concentrated, high-temperature jet flame.
• Soft Flame: With the air inlet partially or fully closed, the torch produces a softer, orange flame, similar to a standard lighter.
