2. Safety Information
Your Hibbent Faucet Aerator is NSF 61 and CUPC certified, ensuring it meets strict standards for safe drinking water contact. This certification confirms that the product has been tested and found to be safe for use with potable water, and it complies with plumbing codes. Always ensure proper installation to maintain these safety standards and prevent leaks.
3. Setup & Installation
The Hibbent Faucet Aerator is designed for easy, tool-free installation on most standard faucets. It features a female thread (55/64'') that fits male thread faucets. An adapter is included for female threaded faucets.
3.1 Compatibility
This aerator is compatible only with faucets that have a removable aerator. Please refer to the image below to identify compatible and incompatible faucet types.

Figure 3.1: Faucet Compatibility Guide. Top row shows compatible faucets with removable aerators. Bottom row shows incompatible faucets like pull-down, spout, waterfall, and non-removable aerator types.
3.2 Installation Steps
- Remove Existing Aerator: Unscrew your current faucet aerator by hand or using a wrench if necessary. Clean any debris from the faucet's threads.
- Check Faucet Thread Type:
- If your faucet has a male thread (threads on the outside), the Hibbent aerator (female thread) will screw directly onto it.
- If your faucet has a female thread (threads on the inside), use the provided adapter to convert it to a male thread, then attach the Hibbent aerator.

Figure 3.2: Faucet Thread Identification and Aerator Attachment. Shows how the aerator connects to both female and male threaded faucets, with an adapter for female threads.
- Attach New Aerator: Carefully screw the Hibbent aerator onto your faucet (or adapter). Hand-tighten only to ensure a secure fit without overtightening.
- Test for Leaks: Turn on the water and check for any leaks around the connection point. If leaks occur, ensure the aerator is properly aligned and tightened.
4. Operating Instructions
Your Hibbent Faucet Aerator offers versatile functionality for various tasks.
4.1 Dual-Function Water Flow
The aerator features two distinct water flow modes:
- Soft Bubble Stream: Ideal for general washing, handwashing, and filling containers. This mode provides a gentle, aerated flow.
- Strong Spray: Perfect for rinsing dishes, cleaning the sink, and removing stubborn food particles. This mode delivers a powerful, concentrated spray.
To switch between modes, simply rotate the bottom part of the aerator. You can continuously rotate it in one direction to cycle through the modes.

4.2 360-Degree Swivel
The integrated ball joint allows the aerator to swivel 360 degrees, providing extended reach and flexibility. This feature makes it easy to direct water to every corner of your sink, simplifying washing and cleaning tasks.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Hibbent Faucet Aerator.
- Cleaning: The aerator is made of high-quality brass, which is resistant to rust. To clean, simply wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Filter Cleaning: Periodically check the internal filter for mineral buildup or debris. To clean, unscrew the aerator from the faucet, carefully remove the filter, rinse it under running water, and reassemble.
- Leak Prevention: Ensure the rubber gasket is properly seated during installation to prevent leaks. If a leak occurs, re-tighten the aerator by hand.
6. Troubleshooting

| Water leaks from connection point. | Aerator not tightened sufficiently or gasket improperly seated. | Ensure the aerator is hand-tightened securely. Check that the rubber gasket is correctly positioned. Avoid overtightening. |
| Low water pressure or irregular flow. | Clogged filter or aerator screen. | Unscrew the aerator, remove and clean the internal filter screen. Rinse thoroughly and reassemble. |
| Difficulty switching between spray modes. | Mineral buildup or debris in the mechanism. | Remove the aerator and rinse thoroughly. If necessary, soak in a vinegar solution to dissolve mineral deposits. |
