This manual provides essential instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your Chipolino X-Factor i-Size Car Seat. Designed for children from 40 to 150 cm in height, this car seat offers advanced safety features including Isofix connectivity and a 360-degree swivel function. 2. Important Safety Information
- Always ensure the car seat is correctly installed according to the instructions provided.
- Never leave a child unattended in the car seat.
- Ensure the child's harness or vehicle seatbelt is properly fastened and adjusted.
- Do not use the car seat if it has been involved in an accident, even if no visible damage is present.
- Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for information on child restraint system installation.
- Do not modify the car seat in any way.
- Protect the car seat from direct sunlight to prevent components from becoming too hot for the child.
3. Product Components
Familiarize yourself with the various parts of your Chipolino X-Factor i-Size Car Seat:
- Headrest: Adjustable for child's height.
- 5-Point Harness System: For children 40-105 cm.
- Buckle: Secures the harness.
- Isofix Connectors: For secure attachment to vehicle's Isofix anchor points.
- Support Leg: Provides stability and prevents rotation.

4. Setup and Installation
4.1. Isofix Installation (40-150 cm)
- Locate the Isofix anchor points in your vehicle.
- Extend the Isofix connectors from the car seat base by pressing the release buttons (if applicable) and pulling them out.
- Align the Isofix connectors with the vehicle's anchor points and push the car seat firmly until you hear an audible "click" and the indicators turn green.
- Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle seat back to ensure a tight fit.
- Adjust the support leg to the vehicle floor, ensuring it is stable and fully extended. The indicator on the support leg should show green.

4.2. Child Restraint
For Children 40-105 cm (approx. birth to 4 years):
- Use the integrated 5-point harness system.
- Ensure the harness straps are at or slightly below the child's shoulders when rear-facing, and at or slightly above when forward-facing.
- Tighten the harness snugly, ensuring no more than two fingers can fit between the strap and the child's collarbone.
For Children 100-150 cm (approx. 3.5 to 12 years):
- Stow the 5-point harness system (refer to specific instructions for stowing).
- Secure the child using the vehicle's 3-point seatbelt.
- Ensure the vehicle seatbelt passes correctly through the designated guides on the car seat and over the child's shoulder and lap.
- The shoulder belt should lie across the middle of the child's shoulder, not on the neck or off the shoulder. The lap belt should lie low across the hips, touching the thighs.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. 360-Degree Swivel Function
The car seat features a 360-degree swivel function for easy access to your child and to switch between rear-facing and forward-facing positions. To swivel the seat:
- Ensure the car seat is not under tension from the vehicle seatbelt (if used).
- Locate the swivel release lever, typically at the front of the base.
- Press the lever and rotate the seat to the desired position. Release the lever to lock the seat in place.
- Always ensure the seat is securely locked in either the rear-facing or forward-facing position before driving.

5.2. Recline Adjustment
The car seat offers multiple recline positions for your child's comfort and safety. To adjust the recline:
- Locate the recline adjustment lever, usually at the front or side of the seat base.
- Press the lever and simultaneously push or pull the seat to the desired recline angle.
- Release the lever to lock the seat in the new position. Ensure it is securely locked before placing the child in the seat.

5.3. Headrest and Harness Height Adjustment
The headrest and harness height can be adjusted simultaneously to ensure a proper fit as your child grows.
- Locate the headrest adjustment lever, typically at the top or back of the headrest.
- Squeeze the lever and slide the headrest up or down to the correct height.
- Release the lever to lock the headrest in place. Ensure the harness straps are at the appropriate height for your child's shoulders.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
6.1. Fabric Covers
- The fabric covers are removable for cleaning. Refer to the care label for specific washing instructions.
- Typically, machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent at 30°C. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron.
- Allow covers to air dry completely before reattaching.
6.2. Plastic Parts
- Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6.3. Harness System
- Wipe harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or machine wash, as this can weaken the webbing.
- Check the harness and buckle regularly for signs of wear or damage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Car seat feels loose after installation: Re-check all Isofix connections and the support leg. Ensure the seat is pushed firmly against the vehicle seat back.
- Harness is difficult to adjust: Ensure the child is seated correctly and there are no twists in the harness straps. Check for obstructions in the adjustment mechanism.
- Swivel function is stiff: Ensure the seat is not under load and the swivel release lever is fully engaged. Clean any debris from the swivel mechanism.
- Indicators are not green: Re-check Isofix connections and support leg deployment. Ensure all components are correctly engaged.
