Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Presto Kitchen Kettle.
- Before Cleaning: Always remove the Control Master heat control and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
- Immersible Design: The multi-cooker pot, tempered glass cover, and fry/steam basket are fully immersible and dishwasher safe once the heat control is removed.
- Nonstick Surface: The ceramic nonstick surface (PFAS-free) allows for easy food release and simplifies cleaning. Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the nonstick coating.
- Heat Control: The Control Master heat control should never be immersed in water or other liquids. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. The removable handle on the basket allows for compact storage.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Presto Kitchen Kettle, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Appliance not heating: Ensure the Control Master heat control is securely attached to the multi-cooker and the magnetic cord is firmly connected to the heat control and plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Food not cooking evenly: Ensure the correct temperature setting is selected for the food type. Avoid overcrowding the pot, which can lower oil/water temperature.
- Oil/Water temperature fluctuates: The Control Master heat control automatically maintains the set temperature. Slight fluctuations are normal as the unit cycles on and off to maintain consistency.
- Difficulty cleaning nonstick surface: Ensure the appliance has cooled completely. Use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn residue, soak the pot for a short period before cleaning.
