9. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your TX408 speaker. If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact ALTO Professional support.

ProblemPossible Solution
No Power
  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the speaker and a live power outlet.
  • Verify the power outlet is functioning by plugging in another device.
  • Check the power switch on the rear panel is in the ON position.
No Sound Output
  • Check that the volume knobs for the active channels are turned up.
  • Ensure the audio source is sending a signal and its volume is adequate.
  • Verify all audio cables are correctly connected and not damaged.
  • If using Bluetooth, ensure the device is paired and playing audio.
  • If using TWS, ensure both speakers are linked and the audio source is paired to the primary speaker.
Distorted Sound
  • Reduce the volume level of the input source or the TX408's channel volume.
  • If the SIG/LIMIT LED is constantly red, the signal is too hot. Reduce the input gain.
  • Check for damaged audio cables.
Bluetooth Pairing Issues
  • Ensure the TX408 is in pairing mode (Bluetooth LED flashing).
  • Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your source device.
  • Move your source device closer to the speaker.
  • If previously paired, try 'forgetting' the device on your source and re-pairing.
Hum or Buzz
  • Engage the Ground Lift switch on the rear panel.
  • Try plugging the speaker and connected audio devices into the same power circuit.
  • Use balanced XLR cables for longer runs.
