The Sonata SF Vigour watch combines classic analog timekeeping with modern digital functionalities, offering features such as alarm, chime, stopwatch, countdown timer, world time, and an EL backlight for enhanced visibility.
Safety Information
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes.
- Do not operate the watch buttons underwater to maintain water resistance.
- Clean the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly.
- Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as this can affect accuracy.

Watch Components
Familiarize yourself with the main components and buttons of your watch:

- Light Button (Top Left): Activates the EL backlight.

Setup
Initial Time Setting (Digital)
- In Timekeeping Mode, press the Mode button repeatedly until the digital time display starts flashing, indicating setting mode.
- Press the Start button to cycle through the settings: Seconds → Hour → Minute → Year → Month → Day → 12/24 Hour Format.
- Use the Reset button to adjust the flashing value. Hold the Reset button to change values quickly.
- Once all settings are correct, press the Mode button to exit the setting mode.
Synchronizing Analog and Digital Time
The watch features synchronized movement. After setting the digital time, the analog hands should automatically adjust. If they do not, or if they are misaligned:
- In Timekeeping Mode, press and hold the Reset button for approximately 3 seconds until the analog hands start moving rapidly.
- Use the Start button to advance the analog hands. Press and hold to move them quickly.
- Align the analog hands with the digital time.
- Press the Reset button to confirm and exit the analog hand setting mode.
Operating Instructions
Timekeeping Mode
This is the default mode, displaying the current time (hour, minute, second), month, day, and week. Press the Light button to activate the EL backlight for visibility in low light conditions.
Alarm Function
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the Mode button once to enter Alarm Mode. The alarm time will be displayed.
- Press the Start button to toggle the alarm ON/OFF. An alarm icon will appear when ON.
- To set the alarm time, press and hold the Reset button until the alarm hour flashes.
- Use the Start button to adjust the hour. Press Mode to switch to minutes, then use Start to adjust minutes.
- Press Reset to confirm and exit alarm setting.
Hourly Chime
In Alarm Mode, press the Reset button to toggle the hourly chime ON/OFF. A chime icon will appear when ON. When activated, the watch will beep every hour on the hour.
Stopwatch Function
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the Mode button twice to enter Stopwatch Mode. The display will show "00:00:00".
- Press the Start button to begin timing.
- Press the Start button again to pause timing.
- Press the Reset button to reset the stopwatch to "00:00:00".
- To record split times, press Reset while the stopwatch is running. The split time will freeze while the stopwatch continues to run in the background. Press Reset again to return to the running stopwatch display.
Countdown Timer (60 minutes)
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the Mode button three times to enter Timer Mode. The display will show the set countdown time (default 60:00).
- To set the timer, press and hold the Reset button until the minutes flash.
- Use the Start button to adjust the minutes (up to 60 minutes).
- Press Reset to confirm the setting.
- Press the Start button to begin the countdown.
- Press Start again to pause the countdown. Press Start again to resume.
- When the countdown reaches zero, an alarm will sound. Press any button to stop the alarm.
World Time
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the Mode button four times to enter World Time Mode. The display will show a city code and its current time.
- Use the Start button to cycle through different city codes (time zones).
- The watch will display the current time for the selected city.
12/24 Hour Format
This setting can be changed during the initial time setting process. Alternatively, in Timekeeping Mode, press the Start button to toggle between 12-hour (with AM/PM indicator) and 24-hour formats.
Dual Time
The watch supports a dual time display. This feature allows you to view a second time zone simultaneously. To set the dual time:
- From Timekeeping Mode, press the Mode button five times to enter Dual Time Mode.
- Press and hold the Reset button until the hour flashes.
- Use the Start button to adjust the hour. Press Mode to switch to minutes, then use Start to adjust minutes.
- Press Reset to confirm and exit dual time setting.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
Regular cleaning helps maintain the appearance and hygiene of your watch. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the watch case and strap. For the plastic strap, a mild soap solution and a soft brush can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.

Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use, showering, and swimming in shallow water. However, it is not suitable for diving or snorkeling. Do not operate any buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a Lithium Polymer battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may indicate a low battery.
