1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the TrendGear DL16F 1500W Electric Baseboard Heater. This appliance is designed to provide efficient and comfortable heating for indoor spaces, featuring a realistic 3D flame effect, adjustable thermostat, and timer functions. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure safe and proper use.

2. Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic precautions:

  • Read all instructions before using this heater.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) from the front of the heater and away from the sides, top, and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • This heater is designed for freestanding use. Due to its low bottom clearance, it is best used on tile or concrete floors to ensure proper heat distribution and safety.
  • The top air outlet gets hot. Do not touch it directly.
  • DO NOT COVER the heater at any time.

5. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is positioned at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from walls, furniture, and any combustible materials. Avoid placing it on carpeting or soft surfaces.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the heater directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Control Panel & Remote Control

The heater can be operated using the LED touch control panel on the unit or the included remote control. The remote control requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included).

6.2 Power On/Off

  • Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel or remote to turn the heater on or off.

6.3 Adjusting Temperature (Thermostat)

  • Press the TEMP UP or TEMP DOWN buttons on the remote, or the corresponding buttons on the control panel, to set your desired temperature between 59°F (15°C) and 99°F (37°C).
  • The heater will automatically maintain the set temperature.

6.4 Selecting Heat Modes

The heater offers two heat settings:

  • Low Heat Mode: Provides a lower heat output.
  • High Heat Mode (1500W): Provides maximum heat output for faster warming.
  • Press the MODE button on the control panel or remote to cycle between Low and High heat settings.

6.5 Using the 3D Flame Effect

The realistic 3D dancing flame effect can be operated independently or with heat:

  • Press the FLAME button on the control panel or remote to turn the flame effect on or off.
  • You can enjoy the flame effect without activating the heating function.

6.6 Setting the Timer

  • Press the TIMER button on the control panel or remote to set the auto-off timer.
  • The timer can be set from 1 hour to 12 hours. The heater will automatically turn off after the selected time.

7. Care and Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater.
  • Clean the air intake and exhaust vents regularly with a vacuum cleaner attachment to remove dust and lint.

7.2 Storage

  • When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry location.
  • It is recommended to store the heater in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.

8. Troubleshooting
