1. Overview
The JESLED T8 LED Tube Lights are designed as a versatile and energy-efficient replacement for traditional T8, T10, and T12 fluorescent bulbs. These 4-foot (48-inch) LED tubes feature a G13 Bi-Pin Base and offer dual installation options: Plug & Play with an existing ballast (Type A) or Ballast Bypass (Type B) for direct wiring. Each 14W bulb provides 2450 lumens of 5000K daylight white illumination, offering significant energy savings and a long lifespan of over 50,000 hours.

- For indoor use only.
3. Setup & Installation
JESLED T8 LED Tube Lights offer two installation methods: Type A (Plug & Play) and Type B (Ballast Bypass). Both methods allow for single-ended or double-ended connection.
3.1. Installation Options Overview

Image 3.1: Overview of Type A+B installation flexibility and product features.
3.2. Type A Installation (Plug & Play with Ballast)
This method utilizes your existing fluorescent fixture's ballast. It is the simplest installation as it requires no rewiring. Ensure your ballast is compatible with LED tubes. Refer to the ballast compatibility list below.
- Turn off power: Disconnect power to the fixture at the circuit breaker.
- Remove old fluorescent tubes: Carefully twist and remove the existing fluorescent tubes from the fixture.
- Insert LED tubes: Align the pins of the JESLED T8 LED tube with the sockets (tombstones) in the fixture. Push firmly and twist to secure.
- Restore power: Turn on power at the circuit breaker. The LED tubes should light up instantly.
3.3. Type B Installation (Ballast Bypass / Direct Wire)
This method bypasses the existing ballast, connecting the LED tubes directly to the main power supply. This eliminates ballast maintenance and further improves energy efficiency. This installation should be performed by a licensed electrician.
- Turn off power: Disconnect power to the fixture at the circuit breaker.
- Remove old fluorescent tubes and ballast: Carefully remove the existing fluorescent tubes. Then, disconnect and remove the ballast from the fixture.
- Rewire the fixture: Connect the live (L) and neutral (N) wires directly to the lamp holders (tombstones) according to the diagram provided. These tubes support both single-ended and double-ended wiring configurations.
- Insert LED tubes: Align the pins of the JESLED T8 LED tube with the rewired sockets. Push firmly and twist to secure.
- Restore power: Turn on power at the circuit breaker. The LED tubes should light up instantly.

5. Maintenance
JESLED T8 LED Tube Lights require minimal maintenance due to their long lifespan and durable construction.
- Cleaning: Ensure power is off before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to wipe the surface of the tube. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically check the tubes and fixture for any signs of damage or loose connections. If any issues are found, disconnect power and consult a qualified electrician.
- Replacement: With a lifespan of over 50,000 hours, frequent replacement is not expected. When replacement is necessary, follow the installation steps in Section 3.
