Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the B4FM unit. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the unit and to a USB power source. The indicator light will show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.

2. Installing in Helmet

Choose the appropriate mounting method (clamp or adhesive) for your helmet. Securely attach the B4FM unit to the side of your helmet.

Microphone Selection:

  • Boom Mic: Ideal for open-face or flip-face helmets. Position the microphone close to your mouth for clear communication.
  • Button Mic: Designed for full-face helmets. Install inside the helmet, near the mouth area.

Connect the chosen microphone and the Pulse speakers to the B4FM unit. Ensure speakers are positioned directly over your ears inside the helmet for optimal audio quality.

3. Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light illuminates.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light turns off.

4. Bluetooth Pairing with Smartphone

  1. With the B4FM unit powered off, press and hold the Power button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the indicator light flashes red and blue, indicating pairing mode.
  2. On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for "LEXIN B4FM".
  3. Select "LEXIN B4FM" from the list of available devices to pair. Once paired, the indicator light will turn blue.

Operating Instructions

1. Intercom Communication

The B4FM supports up to 10 riders for intercom communication, with optimal performance for groups of 4.

  • Initiate Intercom: Press the Intercom button once to start a conversation with a paired rider.
  • End Intercom: Press the Intercom button again to end the conversation.
  • Group Intercom: Follow the specific pairing instructions in the quick start guide for multi-rider group intercom setup.

2. Music Playback and Sharing

Enjoy music from your paired smartphone. The B4FM also allows two riders to share the same music.

  • Play/Pause Music: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • Next Track: Press the Volume Up button.
  • Previous Track: Press the Volume Down button.
  • Music Sharing: While music is playing, double-click the Power button to initiate music sharing with another paired B4FM unit.

3. Hands-Free Calling

Make and receive calls safely using voice commands or button presses.

  • Answer Call: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • End Call: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function button for 2 seconds.
  • Voice Assistant (Siri/Google Assistant): Double-click the Multi-function button to activate your phone's voice assistant.

4. Volume Control

  • Increase Volume: Press the Volume Up button.
  • Decrease Volume: Press the Volume Down button.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the B4FM unit and speakers with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure all ports are dry before charging.
