4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Making Espresso
- Prepare Coffee Grounds: Use finely ground coffee (recommended grind size: 0.2mm - 0.3mm). Select either the 1-cup or 2-cup filter basket and place it into the portafilter.
- Fill and Tamp: Fill the filter basket with ground coffee. Use the coffee spoon/tamper to level and firmly tamp the coffee grounds. Ensure the edges of the filter basket are clean of loose grounds.
- Attach Portafilter: Align the portafilter with the group head on the machine. Insert it and turn it firmly to the right until it is securely locked in place.
- Place Cup(s): Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray directly beneath the portafilter spouts. For best results, pre-warm your cups.
- Start Extraction: Once the green indicator light is solid, press the single cup button (☕) for a single shot or the double cup button for a double shot. The machine will begin extracting espresso.
- Monitor Pressure: The built-in pressure gauge will display the extraction pressure. Aim for the optimal range indicated on the gauge for rich, full-bodied espresso with good crema.
- Stop Extraction: The machine will automatically stop the extraction after a preset volume. You can manually stop it by pressing the button again if desired.

4.2. Steaming Milk
- Activate Steam Mode: After making espresso, press the steam button (☁️). The indicator light will blink, then become solid when the machine reaches steaming temperature.
- Prepare Milk: Fill a milk frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
- Froth Milk: Submerge the steam wand tip just below the surface of the milk. Turn the steam control knob on the side of the machine to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create dense, smooth milk foam. The steam wand is 270° adjustable for convenience.
- Stop Steaming: Once desired foam and temperature are achieved, turn off the steam control knob and remove the pitcher. Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your espresso machine.
- Drip Tray: The drip tray is removable for easy cleaning. Empty and rinse it after each use.
- Portafilter and Filter Baskets: Remove used coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and filter baskets immediately after each use.
- Steam Wand: After steaming milk, immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Purge a small amount of steam to clear any internal blockages.
- Water Tank: Clean the water tank periodically with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Descaling: Depending on water hardness, descaling may be required periodically to remove mineral buildup. Refer to the full instruction manual for detailed descaling procedures.
6. Troubleshooting
- Machine Not Heating: Ensure the power button is pressed. If indicator lights are blinking, the machine is still heating up. Wait until the green light is solid.
- No Espresso Flow: Check if the water tank is filled and properly seated. Ensure the portafilter is securely locked. Verify coffee grounds are not too fine or too heavily tamped, which can cause blockages.
- Weak Espresso: Adjust coffee grind size to be finer or increase the amount of coffee used. Ensure proper tamping pressure.
- Milk Not Frothing: Ensure the steam mode is activated and the machine has reached steaming temperature (solid steam indicator light). Submerge the steam wand tip correctly in the milk.
- Difficulty Cleaning Portafilter: Some users report the inner basket may fall out when emptying grounds. Exercise care when inverting the portafilter.
