5. Operating Instructions
Braking System:
The bike is equipped with two braking systems for enhanced safety:
- Handbrake: Located on the handlebars, this lever activates the front caliper brake for immediate stopping power.
- Coaster Brake: Activated by pedaling backward, this brake provides reliable stopping for young riders who may not have the hand strength for the handbrake alone.

Adjustable Seat:
The saddle height can be easily adjusted to accommodate your child's growth. Use the quick-release lever on the seat post to raise or lower the seat. Ensure the child's feet can comfortably touch the ground when seated.

Riding Modes:
The BODIOO Kids Bike supports two riding modes:
- Balance Kid Mode: For beginners, the training wheels provide stability, allowing children to learn balance and pedaling at their own pace.
- Bicycle Mode: Once your child gains confidence and balance, the training wheels can be removed, and the kickstand can be installed for traditional bicycle riding.

6. Maintenance
The BODIOO Kids Bike is designed for low maintenance due to its simple structure and durable steel frame. Regular checks will ensure longevity and safe operation.
- Tire Pressure: Regularly check tire pressure to ensure optimal riding performance and prevent flats. The wide anti-slip tires provide better grip and stability.
- Chain Care: The fully-enclosed chain guard helps prevent clothing from getting caught and reduces the need for frequent chain lubrication. Periodically check the chain for proper tension and lubricate if necessary.
- Brake Inspection: Ensure brake levers are responsive and brake pads make full contact with the wheel rim. Adjust as needed.
- General Cleaning: Wipe down the bike with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

7. Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Tires go flat quickly | Low tire pressure, puncture | Inflate tires to recommended pressure. Check for punctures and repair or replace inner tube if necessary. |
Chain falls off or breaks | Loose chain, damaged chain link, improper installation | Re-seat chain on sprockets. Check chain tension and adjust if too loose. Inspect for damaged links and replace chain if broken. |
Brakes are not effective | Brake pads worn, cable loose, improper adjustment | Adjust brake cable tension. Ensure brake pads are aligned and not worn out; replace if necessary. Refer to assembly video for brake adjustment. |
Bike feels unstable (with training wheels) | Training wheels not properly installed or adjusted | Ensure training wheels are securely tightened and set at the correct height, allowing for slight tilt. |
