4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the gasket's sealing effectiveness. Please follow these steps carefully. It is advisable to wear work gloves for hand protection during installation.

Preparation:

1. Before beginning, turn off the power to your refrigerator/freezer and unplug it from the power source.
2. Remove all contents from the refrigerator and clean the interior.

8. Once the corners are secure, press the middle sections of the gasket back and forth along the slot-in area, working from both sides towards the middle, both up and down, to ensure it is fully seated and docile.
9. After installation, check for any uneven areas or parts that are not fully pressed into place. If found, use a hair dryer to gently heat the sealing strip and press it firmly into the slot. For areas where adsorption is not in place, use a chopstick or similar tool to gently push the top of the adsorption up and check all around the seal.
10. To ensure a perfect seal, close the refrigerator door and use wide tape (e.g., painter's tape) to fix the door to the refrigerator body. Leave the tape in place for 12 to 24 hours. This helps the magnetic strip set and activate its magnetism.
11. After 12 to 24 hours, remove the tape. It is normal for the magnetic force to be weak immediately after installation. The magnetic force will strengthen and improve over 1-3 days of continuous refrigerator operation.
12. Allow the refrigerator to run for 24 hours to fully set the sealing strip and achieve optimal sealing effect.
