- When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
- Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
- Do not use this unit with any solid-state speed control device.

4. Setup and Installation
The FIREGAS range hood offers versatile installation options, supporting both ducted and ductless configurations. Ensure you have the necessary tools and follow local building codes.
4.1 Installation Options
Ducted Installation: For optimal ventilation, connect the range hood to an external duct system. This method expels cooking fumes and odors directly outside your home.
Ductless (Recirculating) Installation: If external venting is not possible, the range hood can be used in a ductless configuration. This requires the included CC110 charcoal filters, which purify the air before recirculating it back into the kitchen.

4.2 Dimensions and Placement
The range hood is designed for wall mounting. The adjustable chimney allows for perfect height adjustments, fitting ceilings between 7.5 and 8.5 feet. Refer to the provided installation template for precise mounting points.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your range hood.
6.1 Cleaning the Grease Filters
The 5-layer aluminum mesh filters capture grease and airborne particles. For best performance, clean the grease filters regularly (e.g., monthly or as needed). They can be washed by hand with hot soapy water or in a dishwasher.
- To remove: Push the latch on the filter and pull downwards.
- To reinstall: Align the filter with the slots and push upwards until it clicks into place.

6.2 Replacing Charcoal Filters (Ductless Mode)
If using the range hood in ductless mode, the CC110 charcoal filters need to be replaced periodically (typically every 3-6 months, depending on usage). These filters are not washable.
- To replace: Remove the grease filters first. Twist the charcoal filter to unlock and remove it. Install the new charcoal filter by twisting it into place.
- Replacement filters (model CC110) can be found by searching for B08GZC6172 on Amazon.
6.3 Exterior Cleaning
Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the surface.
