2. Safety Information

This transmitter operates on an 868 MHz frequency, providing a wireless range of up to 100 meters in open field conditions. It is an integral part of the TFA.me system, allowing you to monitor environmental conditions remotely via a compatible weather station or the TFA.me online portal.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the transmitter.
  2. Insert two (2) 1.5 V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely. The display should activate, showing current readings.

5.2 Mounting the Transmitter

The transmitter can be mounted in various ways:

  • Freestanding: Use the integrated stand to place the transmitter on a flat surface.
  • Wall Mounting: Use a screw (not included) to hang the transmitter on a wall. Ensure the mounting location is stable.

For outdoor use, place the transmitter in a location protected from direct precipitation and sunlight to ensure accurate readings and prolong device life. Ideal locations include under eaves, on a covered porch, or within a weather shield.

5.3 Pairing with a Base Station

The TFA-ID 30.3900.02 transmitter automatically attempts to connect with a compatible TFA.me weather station or gateway upon battery insertion. Ensure your base station is powered on and within range (up to 100m in open air).

Refer to your specific TFA.me weather station or gateway manual for detailed instructions on adding new sensors or checking connection status. Compatible models include, but are not limited to: 35.1132.01, 30.3075.01, 35.8100.54, 35.8101.54, 35.8102.01, and 35.8103.02.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Reading the Display

The transmitter's integrated display will automatically alternate between showing the current temperature (in °C) and relative humidity (in %). This provides immediate local readings.

6.2 Monitoring via TFA.me System

Once successfully paired with a TFA.me compatible base station, the temperature and humidity data will be transmitted wirelessly. You can access and monitor these values through:

  • Your TFA.me weather station display.
  • The free online TFA.me portal, accessible worldwide via web browser.
  • The TFA.me mobile application (if available for your base station).

The TFA.me system allows for comprehensive data logging and remote access, enabling you to track climate conditions in various locations.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing. Ensure no moisture enters the device.

7.2 Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the transmission signal weakens, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new ones of the same type.
