- The device is designed for long-term battery storage, keeping charged batteries ready.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on or indicator is yellow. | Incompatible power adapter. | Ensure you are using a PD-compatible charger with at least 12V & 1.5A output. |
| Batteries are rejected into the invalid bin. | Battery is alkaline, damaged, or has dirty contacts. | The Ostation X only charges NiMH AAA batteries. Check if the battery is alkaline or damaged. Clean battery contacts and re-insert. |
| Charging takes longer than expected for the last 20%. | Battery protection mechanism. | This is normal behavior to protect battery health and extend lifespan. Charging slows down after reaching 80% capacity. |
| Noise in fast charging mode. | Cooling fan activation. | The cooling fan activates to prevent overheating during fast charging. Consider using standard mode or scheduling quiet hours via the app if noise is a concern. |
| Cannot connect to the Olight app. | Bluetooth issue, app not updated, or device not in pairing mode. | Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Update the Olight app to the latest version. Restart both the device and the app. |
