Setup

1. Installing the Safety Guard

The safety guard protects the user from sparks and debris. Ensure it is securely attached before operation.

• Align the safety guard with the tool head.
• Slide the guard into position and secure it using the provided screw and wrench. Ensure it is tight and does not move.

2. Attaching the Cutting/Grinding Disc

Always ensure the tool is powered off and the battery is removed before changing discs.

• Press and hold the spindle lock button located near the tool head.
• Using the hex wrench, loosen the screw on the spindle.
• Remove the outer flange and place the desired 3-inch cutting or grinding disc onto the spindle.
• Place the outer flange back, ensuring the grooved side of the clamp plate faces inward towards the disc, and the smooth side remains outward.
• While still pressing the spindle lock button, tighten the screw with the hex wrench until the disc is securely fastened.

3. Installing the Battery

The Heimerdinger LB202 is compatible with Makita 18V LXT batteries. Ensure the battery is fully charged before installation.

• Align the battery pack with the battery slot at the base of the grinder handle.
• Slide the battery into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
• To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

• To power ON, push the slide switch up. The disc will begin to rotate.
• To power OFF, push the slide switch down. The blade will stop rotating immediately.
