2. Safety Information

Important Safety Instructions:

  • Always connect the charger to a properly grounded 110/120V AC outlet.
  • Do not use extension cords or adapters with this charger.
  • Ensure the charging cable is not damaged before each use. Do not use if the cable or connector is frayed, broken, or exposed.
  • Keep children and pets away from the charging area.

4. Setup Instructions

The Enphase Mobile EV Charger requires no complex installation. Follow these steps to begin charging:

  1. Unpack the Charger: Carefully remove the charger from its packaging.
  2. Inspect for Damage: Before first use, visually inspect the charger, cable, and connectors for any signs of damage. Do not use if any damage is observed.
  3. Select a Location: Choose a charging location that is dry, well-ventilated, and within reach of a standard 110/120V AC NEMA 5-15 outlet. Ensure the 25-foot cable can reach your vehicle without being stretched or creating a tripping hazard.
  4. Plug into Power Outlet: Insert the NEMA 5-15 plug securely into a grounded 110/120V AC wall outlet. The control unit's power indicator LED should illuminate.
  5. Prepare Vehicle: Ensure your electric vehicle is parked and turned off. Open the charging port cover on your vehicle.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the charger is set up, follow these steps to charge your electric vehicle:

  1. Connect to Vehicle: Firmly insert the SAE J1772 connector into your vehicle's charging port. You should hear a click indicating it is securely latched.
  2. Verify Charging Status: The LED indicators on the control unit will change to show that charging has commenced. Refer to the LED indicator guide (if provided separately or on the unit) for specific status meanings. Typically, a blinking or solid green light indicates active charging.
  3. Monitor Charging: Monitor your vehicle's dashboard or app for charging progress. The charger will automatically stop when the vehicle's battery is full or when instructed by the vehicle.
  4. Disconnect from Vehicle: To stop charging, first unlock your vehicle's charging port (if applicable) and then press the release button on the SAE J1772 connector. Gently pull the connector out of the vehicle's charging port.
  5. Disconnect from Power: After disconnecting from the vehicle, unplug the NEMA 5-15 plug from the wall outlet.
  6. Store Charger: Coil the cable neatly and store the charger in a dry, safe place, such as your vehicle's trunk or a garage shelf.
