Product Overview

The Westbrass HSF6701-62 is a 5-inch round, thin, 6-function filtered adjustable spray hand shower designed to enhance your showering experience. It features a longer handle for extended reach and multiple spray options. The integrated triple-action filtration system removes impurities, heavy metals, organic chemicals, and chlorine from your water, while releasing beneficial natural minerals.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your Westbrass HSF6701-62 hand shower:

  1. Prepare the Connection: Ensure your existing shower arm or wall outlet has a standard 1/2 inch threaded gauge.
  2. Connect the Hose: Attach the 60-inch long shower hose to your shower arm or wall outlet. Ensure the gasket is properly seated within the hose connection to prevent leaks.
  3. Attach Hand Shower: Screw the hand shower body onto the other end of the shower hose. The universal 1/2 inch threaded gauge ensures compatibility.
  4. Insert Filter Cartridge: The hand shower includes a triple-action filtration cartridge. Insert this cartridge into the handle of the hand shower as shown in Figure 2.
  5. Flush System: Before first use, flush the hand shower with hot water for one minute to activate the filter and remove any air from the system.

Operating Instructions

Your Westbrass HSF6701-62 hand shower offers six distinct spray functions. To change the spray pattern, rotate the adjustable spray face control located on the showerhead.

  • Saturating Spray: A full, even spray for complete coverage.
  • Massage Spray: A pulsating spray for a relaxing massage.
  • Saturating & Massage Spray: Combines the full spray with a pulsating massage.
  • Dot Massage Spray: Concentrated, powerful streams for targeted massage.
  • Saturating & Dot Massage Spray: A blend of full coverage and targeted streams.
  • Trickle: A minimal flow for conserving water while lathering.

The hand shower maintains a flow rate of 1.8 GPM (Gallons Per Minute).

Maintenance

Filter Cartridge Replacement

The triple-action filtration cartridges are crucial for maintaining water quality. These cartridges should be replaced every six (6) months, or after 10,000 gallons of use, or if the filter begins to discolor. A built-in dial on the hand shower reminds you when to change the filter.

Replacement cartridges (HHF Replacement filter unit) are sold separately as two-packs and are compatible with Westbrass models: SCH900F, F730, HSF731, and HSF6701.

To replace the cartridge:

  1. Unscrew the handle from the showerhead body.
  2. Remove the old filter cartridge.
  3. Insert the new cartridge into the handle (refer to Figure 3 for visual guidance).
  4. Reattach the handle to the showerhead body.
  5. Flush with hot water for one (1) minute before use.

Cleaning the Showerhead

To maintain optimal spray performance, periodically clean the nozzles of the showerhead. Use a soft cloth and a mild cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that could damage the finish.
