5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your KADAX Rainwater Collector:

1. Choose Location: Select a section of your downpipe where you want to divert water. Ensure it's above your rain barrel or collection tank.
2. Measure and Mark: Hold the collector against the downpipe at the desired height. Mark the sections of the downpipe that need to be cut to accommodate the collector.
3. Cut Downpipe: Carefully cut out the marked section of the downpipe. Ensure clean, straight cuts for a good fit.
4. Insert Collector: Insert the main body of the rainwater collector into the cut section of the downpipe. Ensure it fits snugly.
5. Assemble Outlet: Attach the connecting pipe and valve mechanism to the side outlet of the main collector body. Ensure all connections are secure.
6. Connect to Barrel: Connect a hose (not included) from the collector's outlet to your rain barrel or collection tank.

6. Operating Instructions

The KADAX Rainwater Collector features an integrated valve for controlling water flow:

• Water Collection: To divert rainwater into your collection barrel, ensure the integrated valve is in the "open" position. This allows water flowing down the downpipe to be directed through the collector's outlet.
• Stop Collection: If your rain barrel is full or you wish to stop collecting water, turn the integrated valve to the "closed" position. This will redirect the rainwater to continue flowing down the downpipe as normal.
• Filter Maintenance: Periodically check the filter (if present) at the top of the collector for debris. Clean as necessary to maintain efficient water flow.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your rainwater collector:
