5. Shock Resistance
The Invicta ACW496-005 watch is designed with shock-resistant properties to withstand impacts from daily activities. While robust, extreme impacts should still be avoided to preserve the watch's integrity.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning Your Watch
To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
2. Water Resistance Care
To preserve the water resistance of your watch, ensure the crown is fully pushed in after any adjustments. Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes, as this can affect the seals. It is recommended to have the water resistance seals checked periodically by a qualified watch technician, especially after several years of use or if the watch has been subjected to significant impacts.
3. Battery Replacement
When the watch display becomes dim or stops functioning, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
Troubleshooting
- Watch not displaying time: Check if the battery is active. If not, consider battery replacement.
- Buttons unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable). If issues persist, a reset may be required (consult a technician if no external reset option is available).
- Time inaccuracy: Re-set the time following the 'Initial Time Setting' instructions. If the watch continues to lose or gain significant time, it may require servicing.
- Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to a professional for inspection and repair to prevent further damage.
