2. Setup and Installation
2.1 System Requirements:
- Existing doorbell wires (16V AC recommended for optimal performance).
- 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Smartphone (iOS or Android) for the Energizer Connect app.
- Optional: MicroSD card (up to 128GB) for local storage.
2.2 Physical Installation:
- Turn off Power: Before beginning, turn off the power to your existing doorbell at the circuit breaker.
- Remove Old Doorbell: Carefully remove your existing doorbell button from the wall. Disconnect the wires.
- Install Chime Power Kit (if applicable): If you have a mechanical chime, install the included chime power kit inside your existing indoor chime unit. Follow the specific instructions provided with the kit.
- Mount New Doorbell: Connect the existing doorbell wires to the terminals on the back of the Energizer Smart Doorbell. Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the doorbell to your wall. An angle adapter is included if needed to optimize the camera's view.
- Place Wireless Chime: Plug the wireless chime into a standard wall outlet in a central location within your home.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
2.3 App Setup and Pairing:
- Download App: Download the 'Energizer Connect' app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Create Account: Open the app and create a new account or log in if you already have one.
- Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select 'Video Doorbell'.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: The app will guide you through connecting the doorbell to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. This often involves scanning a QR code displayed on your phone screen with the doorbell camera.
- Complete Setup: Once connected, name your doorbell and complete the setup process.

3. Operating Your Smart Doorbell
3.1 Live View and Two-Way Audio:
Access the live video feed from your doorbell at any time through the Energizer Connect app. The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way communication with visitors at your door.
- Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak.
- Tap the speaker icon to hear audio from the doorbell.

3.2 Motion Detection and Alerts:
The doorbell features advanced motion sensors that detect activity at your doorstep. You will receive instant notifications on your smartphone when motion is detected.
- Activity Zone: In the app settings, you can define a specific rectangular area within the camera's view where motion detection should be active. This helps reduce false alerts from outside your property.
- Sensitivity: Adjust the motion detection sensitivity to suit your environment.

3.3 Night Vision:

The doorbell supports two primary storage methods for recorded video:
- Cloud Storage: A free 30-day trial is included. Cloud storage allows you to access recordings from anywhere.
- MicroSD Card: Insert a MicroSD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the doorbell for local storage. This option does not require a subscription.

4. Maintenance
