1. Safety Information
Operating a generator can be hazardous if proper safety precautions are not followed. Read and understand all safety warnings before operating this generator.
- Carbon Monoxide (CO) Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless, and poisonous gas. Operate this generator outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate in an enclosed space. The built-in CO Shield technology will automatically shut down the generator if dangerous carbon monoxide levels are detected.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or use open flames near the generator.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all connections are dry and secure. Ground the generator properly.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator's engine and muffler become very hot during operation. Avoid contact to prevent burns.
- Low Oil Shutdown: The generator is equipped with a low oil shutdown feature to protect the engine from damage. Always ensure the oil level is correct before starting.
