Setup
1. Battery Installation

2. Power On/Off
To power on the thermometer, press the Measurement Button. The device will perform a self-test and display the last reading before entering standby mode. The thermometer will automatically shut off after approximately 30 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.
3. Selecting Temperature Unit (°C/°F)
To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F):
- Ensure the thermometer is powered on.
- Locate the °C/°F Switch button, usually near the probe or on the side.
- Press this button to toggle between the two units. The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Operating Instructions
1. Taking Forehead Temperature (Body Mode)
This mode is used for measuring human body temperature.
- Ensure the thermometer is in Body Mode (indicated by a body icon on the display). If not, press the Mode Button to switch.
- Hold the thermometer approximately 1-5 cm (0.4-2 inches) from the center of the forehead.
- Press the Measurement Button once.
- The temperature reading will be displayed on the LCD screen within 1 second.
- The display backlight color will indicate the temperature status:
- Green: Normal temperature (e.g., 89.6°F ≤ T ≤ 99.2°F)
- Orange: Elevated temperature (e.g., 99.3°F ≤ T ≤ 100.3°F)
- Red: High temperature/Fever alert (e.g., 100.4°F ≤ T ≤ 109.2°F)

2. Taking Object/Room Temperature (Object Mode)
This mode is used for measuring the temperature of surfaces, liquids, or ambient room temperature.
- Press the Mode Button to switch to Object Mode (indicated by an object icon on the display).
- Point the thermometer at the object or area you wish to measure, maintaining a distance of 1-5 cm.
- Press the Measurement Button once.
- The temperature reading will be displayed on the LCD screen. Note that the color-coded backlight may not apply in Object Mode, or its thresholds may differ.
3. Memory Function
The thermometer can store up to 35 previous temperature readings.
- With the thermometer powered on, press the "Mem" button.
- Each press of the "Mem" button will cycle through the stored readings, from the most recent to the oldest.
4. Mute/Unmute Function
To silence or enable the thermometer's sound alerts:
- With the thermometer powered on, press the Mute/Unmute Button (often indicated by a speaker icon).
- A muted icon will appear on the display when the sound is off.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Thermometer
To ensure accurate readings and hygiene, clean the thermometer regularly:
