4.2 Installing the Bar and Chain
Note: Ensure the battery is removed from the saw before performing any assembly or maintenance.
- Loosen the side cover nuts using the multi-wrench and remove the side cover.
- Carefully place the saw chain around the guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges are facing the correct direction (refer to markings on the chain and bar).
- Fit the chain onto the drive sprocket and align the guide bar with the mounting studs.
- Replace the side cover and hand-tighten the nuts. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning screw until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely around the bar by hand. There should be a small gap between the chain and the bottom of the bar.
- Fully tighten the side cover nuts with the multi-wrench.
4.3 Lubricating the Chain
Regular chain lubrication is crucial for optimal performance and tool longevity. Use the empty oil bottle provided to apply suitable chain oil.
- Apply a small amount of chain oil directly onto the chain and guide bar groove.
- Manually rotate the chain to distribute the oil evenly.
- Repeat this process periodically during operation, especially during extended use.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Attaching the Battery
Slide the charged battery pack into the base of the saw handle until it clicks securely into place.
5.2 Starting and Stopping the Saw
- To start: Press and hold the safety lock button (usually located on the side of the handle), then squeeze the trigger switch.
- To stop: Release the trigger switch. The safety lock button will automatically reset.
5.3 Cutting Techniques
- Always maintain a firm grip on the saw with both hands.
- Ensure stable footing and balance before starting a cut.
- Allow the saw to reach full speed before engaging the chain with the material.
- Apply light, consistent pressure. Do not force the saw through the material.
- For branches, cut from the top down to avoid pinching the blade. For larger branches, make an undercut first to prevent bark stripping.
- Be aware of kickback. Avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar.

6.3 Guide Bar Maintenance
