1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your MGI Zip Navigator AT Remote Golf Caddy. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure safe and efficient operation.
2. Setup
2.1. Zip Fold Technology
The MGI Zip Navigator AT features an innovative and compact one-piece frame engineered with a zip fold system. This design facilitates easy and quick setup and breakdown for transport and storage. The system is 12% lighter and 25% smaller than previous models, optimizing space savings.
2.2. Inverting Rear Wheels for Storage
The All-Terrain rear wheels can be inverted on the axle to further reduce the folded size of the Zip Navigator AT. To invert the wheels:
- Press the Quick Release Button located on the wheel hub.
- Remove the wheel from the axle.
- Invert the wheel so that the wheel hub protrudes away from the axle.
- Press the Quick Release Button again and re-fit the wheel onto the axle until you hear a "click" indicating it is properly secured.
2.3. Initial Battery Charging
Before using your MGI Zip Navigator AT for the first time, the battery must be fully charged overnight.
- Plug the AC lead of the charger into a power outlet. The green LED on the charger will illuminate, indicating power is on.
- Plug the charger output connection into the connector on the front of the battery. The red LED will illuminate, indicating the battery is charging.
- Once the charging LED indicator turns green, the battery is fully charged and ready for use (up to 36 holes).
2.4. Connecting the Battery
The MGI Zip Navigator AT features a Click & Go Lithium Battery System for easy connection.
- Position the battery on the caddy and push down to secure it.
- Push the handle down to connect the battery to the Zip Navigator.
The Zip Navigator is equipped with a fail-safe battery connection, preventing movement when the battery is connected. The caddy will only activate when the speed control is switched on.

3.2. Drive Position & Free Wheel
The rear wheels of the MGI Zip Navigator AT can be set in two positions:
- Drive Position: Used for normal operation. The wheel is locked on the axle in one of the two grooves.

3.3. Advanced Digital Electronics
The caddy features an advanced digital display with several functions:
- Variable Speed Control: Adjust speed settings from 1 to 20.
- Battery Levels: Four color-coded indicators show the battery level (battery on top left, remote control on top right).
- Distance Modes: Two resettable distances (A & B) in yards or meters.

4. Maintenance
4.1. Cleaning the Caddy
To maintain your Zip Navigator AT:
- Use an air compressor (e.g., at a shoe cleaning station) to remove grass, moisture, or debris.
- Wipe the caddy with a cloth dampened with warm water and a mild detergent.
- Do not hose down the Zip Navigator AT under any circumstances, as it contains electronic components.
- Clean the battery base when the battery is removed from the caddy.
4.2. Lubricating Rear Wheel Axles
The rear wheel axles require regular lubrication. Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly or light grease to the axles.
4.3. 5th Foldable Rear Wheel
The 5th foldable rear wheel must be unfolded and in position at all times when the Zip Navigator AT is in use to ensure stability and prevent damage. This wheel should be cleaned regularly with a cloth to ensure it can be folded for storage.
4.4. Charging the Battery After Use
To charge the battery after use:
- Disconnect the battery by lifting the handle. The battery can be charged either on or off the caddy.
- Plug the AC lead of the charger into a power outlet. The green LED will illuminate.
- Plug the charger output connection into the front of the battery. The red LED will illuminate, indicating charging.
- When the charging LED turns green, the battery is fully charged.
4.5. Remote Control Charging
Charge the remote control overnight before first use using the provided USB cord. The top left UNLOCK button will flash during charging. Once fully charged, the green light will remain solid. The remote can also be charged via the USB port under the caddy's top handle during play.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your MGI Zip Navigator AT, consider the following:
- Caddy not moving: Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly connected. Check that the speed control is switched on. Verify the remote control is charged and paired.
