5.3 Screen Mirroring

Seamlessly mirror content from your iOS or Android devices using the built-in screen mirroring function. Ensure your phone and projector are on the same network for optimal performance.

Note: Due to HDCP copyright restrictions, direct wireless screen mirroring of streaming services like Netflix from your phone is generally not supported by most projectors. For the best experience with these services, stream directly on the projector using its built-in apps.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Lens Care

To maintain optimal image clarity, regularly clean the projector lens. Use a soft, lint-free cloth or the provided lens cleaner. Gently wipe the lens in a circular motion to remove dust or smudges. Always replace the lens cover when the projector is not in use to protect it from dust and scratches.

6.2 General Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the projector with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish. Ensure the ventilation grilles are free from dust and obstructions to prevent overheating.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your KOGATA GC357 Smart Projector, please consider the following general advice:

  • No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the projector and a working power outlet.
  • No Image: Check the input source settings. If using screen mirroring, ensure both devices are on the same network and that the projector's screen mirroring function is active.
  • Blurred Image: The projector features auto-focus. If the image remains blurry, try moving the projector slightly to trigger the auto-focus, or manually adjust focus via the 'Quick Settings' menu.
  • Distorted Image: The 6D keystone correction should automatically correct image distortion. If needed, access 'Manual keystone correction' in 'Quick Settings' to fine-tune.
  • No Sound: Check the volume settings on the projector and any connected external audio devices. Ensure Bluetooth devices are properly paired.
  • Streaming Service Issues: For Netflix, Prime Video, etc., ensure you are using the built-in apps on the projector directly, as wireless screen mirroring from phones may be restricted due to HDCP copyright.
