3.2 Software Installation & Calibration
The SIMSONN Manager software is essential for configuring and calibrating your pedals. It is compatible with PC Windows systems.
- Download the latest SIMSONN Manager software from the official SIMSONN website.
- Install the software on your PC.
- Launch the SIMSONN Manager application.
- Navigate to the "Device" section within the software.
- Verify that the device is successfully connected (indicated by "Connected (USB)" and correct firmware version).
3.2.1 Initial Calibration Steps
Perform initial calibration to ensure accurate pedal response:
- Click the "Calibrate" button in the software without pressing any pedals.
- Confirm that no pedal is pressed, then click "Start Calibration".
- Step on each pedal (accelerator, brake, clutch) separately with normal force, ensuring the progress bar in the software moves.
- Click "Finish" and wait for the configuration to be written.
- To verify, step on each pedal separately again. If the blue progress bar reaches 100%, calibration is successful.
- Click the "Save As" button, enter a preset name (e.g., "simsonn"), and click "Finish" to save your calibration.

3.2.2 Dead Zone Adjustment
Adjusting dead zones prevents unintended input from slight pedal movements. It is recommended to set minimum bottom and top dead zones to 3%.
- In the SIMSONN Manager software, locate the "Dead Zone" sliders for each pedal.
- Drag the round buttons at the top and bottom of the blue progress bar to change the dead zone.
- Set the minimum bottom and top dead zones to approximately 3%.
- Click the "Save" button to apply changes.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 General Use
Once physically installed and calibrated, your SIMSONN Plus X Pedals are ready for use with your PC racing simulator. Ensure your game recognizes the pedals as a USB input device.
- Launch your preferred racing simulator game.
- Navigate to the game's controller or input settings.
- Assign the throttle, brake, and clutch inputs to the corresponding pedals.
- Adjust in-game sensitivity or linearity settings as desired, though the SIMSONN Manager software offers more precise control.

4.2 Advanced Software Features
The SIMSONN Manager software provides extensive customization options:
- Pedal Output Curves: Configure non-linear response curves for throttle, brake, and clutch to match your driving style or vehicle characteristics.
- Brake Damping Force Adjustment: Fine-tune the hydraulic damping for the brake pedal to achieve your preferred feel.
- Real-time Pedal Force Display: Monitor live input from each pedal for precise adjustments and diagnostics.
- Vibration Module Support: The upgraded control box supports SIMSONN VAM and VAM PRO Vibration Motors for enhanced haptic feedback.

5. Maintenance
5.1 General Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your pedals.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the pedal surfaces and frame.
- For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish and components.
5.2 Elastomer Replacement & Adjustment
The damping system uses interchangeable elastomers to customize pedal feel. Over time, elastomers may need replacement or adjustment.
- To change elastomers, use your two thumbs to press the back plate behind the coil spring to disengage it from the rear of the pedal.
- Rotate upwards and release your thumbs to remove the old elastomer and replace with a new one.
- Experiment with different hardness (60HA, 70HA, 80HA) and spacer combinations to find your preferred brake feel.
