1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your AVATTO Smart Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostat for water floor heating. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.

2. Product Overview

The AVATTO Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat is designed to control water floor heating systems. It allows for precise temperature regulation, offering both manual and programmable modes. With Wi-Fi connectivity, you can manage your heating system remotely via a smartphone application and integrate it with voice control platforms like Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

4. Package Contents

5. Installation

Warning: Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician to prevent electric shock or damage to the device. Ensure the main power supply is turned off before beginning installation.

5.1 Mounting the Thermostat

1. Turn off the main power supply to your heating system.
2. Carefully separate the front panel of the thermostat from the backplate.
3. Mount the backplate to a standard wall mounting box (suitable dimensions are shown in Figure 5.1). Ensure it is securely fastened.
4. Proceed with wiring as described in Section 5.2.
5. Once wiring is complete, carefully attach the front panel of the thermostat to the mounted backplate.

5.2 Wiring Diagram (3A Water Floor Heating)

Connect the thermostat according to the appropriate wiring diagram for your water floor heating system. The thermostat supports both Normally Closed (NC) and Normally Open (NO) actuators. Refer to the diagram below and ensure correct connections for Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires, as well as the actuator connections.

After wiring, restore power to the system. The thermostat display should illuminate.

6. App Setup and Wi-Fi Connection

6.1 Downloading the App

Download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app from your smartphone's app store (available on iOS and Android). Register an account or log in if you already have one.

6.2 Connecting to Wi-Fi

1. Ensure your thermostat is powered on.
2. Open the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. You may need to put the thermostat into pairing mode (refer to the thermostat's display for Wi-Fi icon blinking or specific button combinations, usually holding a button for a few seconds).
4. Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. The thermostat does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.
5. Once connected, the Wi-Fi icon on the thermostat display will become solid.

7. Operation

7.1 Manual Mode

In manual mode, you can directly set the desired temperature using the thermostat's physical buttons or through the app. The heating system will maintain this temperature until manually changed.

7.2 Programmable Mode

The thermostat offers flexible programming options to suit your schedule. You can set different temperatures for various times of the day across different days of the week. This mode helps optimize energy consumption and comfort.

The thermostat supports 5+2 (weekdays + weekend), 6+1 (weekdays + one weekend day), or 7-day programming. Each day can have up to 6 different temperature periods. Refer to the app for detailed programming instructions.

7.3 Voice Control Integration

Once connected to the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app, you can link your thermostat to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice control. Follow the instructions within the respective voice assistant apps to enable the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" skill/service.

Common voice commands include:

• "Alexa, set [Thermostat Name] to [Temperature]."
• "Hey Google, what is the temperature of [Thermostat Name]?"
• "Alexa, turn on/off [Thermostat Name]."

8. Temperature Calibration

If you notice a discrepancy between the temperature displayed on the thermostat and the actual room temperature (measured by another accurate thermometer), you can calibrate the thermostat. This feature ensures the thermostat operates based on precise temperature readings.

To calibrate, access the settings menu on the thermostat or through the "Smart Life" / "Tuya Smart" app. Look for a "Temperature Calibration" or "Sensor Calibration" option and adjust the offset value as needed. A positive value increases the displayed temperature, while a negative value decreases it.

9. Maintenance

The AVATTO Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure its longevity and optimal performance:

• Cleaning: Wipe the thermostat's display and casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the surface.
• Avoid Obstructions: Ensure that the thermostat's air vents (if any) are not blocked by furniture, curtains, or other objects, as this can affect temperature sensing accuracy.
• Software Updates: Periodically check the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app for firmware updates for your thermostat. Updates can improve performance and add new features.
