Care and Maintenance

Water Resistance

Your watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming or showering. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

Cleaning

To clean your stainless steel watch, use a soft, damp cloth. For the metal bracelet, a soft brush with mild soap and water can be used, ensuring to rinse thoroughly and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a CR2 battery. When the battery needs replacement, it is recommended to take your watch to an authorized Fossil service center or a qualified watchmaker to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
  • Date not changing: Ensure the time is set correctly, especially past midnight. The date typically changes between 9 PM and 3 AM. Avoid setting the date manually during these hours to prevent damage to the movement.
  • Chronograph hands not resetting to zero: This may indicate a need for calibration or service. Consult an authorized service center.
  • Condensation under the crystal: This can indicate a loss of water resistance. Avoid further contact with water and seek professional service immediately.
