3. Setup
Unpacking
- Carefully remove the air cooler from its packaging.
- Check for any damage during transit. If damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact customer support.
- Remove all packing materials, including any protective films or tapes.
Water Tank Filling
The air cooler operates by evaporating water, which requires the water tank to be filled.
- Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Locate the water tank at the bottom rear of the unit. Gently pull it out.
- Fill the water tank with clean, cool water. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line indicated on the tank.
- For enhanced cooling, place the included ice packs (after freezing) into the water tank.
- Carefully slide the water tank back into its position until it is securely seated.

Placement
Place the air cooler on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow, typically at least 20 cm from walls or furniture.
4. Operation
Control Panel and Remote Control
The Milex 15L Air Cooler can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the provided remote control. The functions are identical.

Control Panel Buttons:
- ON/OFF: Powers the unit on or off.
- Speed: Adjusts fan speed (Low, Mid, High).
- Mode: Selects operating mode (Normal, Nature, Sleep).
- Swing: Activates or deactivates the automatic horizontal swing function.
- Cool: Turns the evaporative cooling function on or off.
- Timer: Sets the operating timer (up to 7.5 hours).
Operating Modes
- Normal Mode: Provides a constant airflow at the selected speed.
- Nature Mode: Simulates natural breeze by varying fan speed.
- Sleep Mode: Operates at a lower, quieter speed, often gradually decreasing fan speed over time for comfortable sleep.
Using the Timer
Press the 'Timer' button repeatedly to set the desired operating duration in increments (e.g., 0.5h, 1h, 1.5h, up to 7.5 hours). The unit will automatically turn off once the set time has elapsed.
Adjusting Airflow Direction
- Horizontal Swing: Press the 'Swing' button on the control panel or remote to activate the automatic left and right oscillation of the louvers. Press again to stop.
- Vertical Adjustment: Manually adjust the horizontal louvers to direct the airflow up or down as desired.
5. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your air cooler.
Cleaning the Exterior
- Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Dry thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
Cleaning the Water Tank
To prevent mold and mildew growth, clean the water tank regularly, especially if the unit is not used daily.
- Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
- Empty any remaining water.
- Wash the tank with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
- Allow the tank to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter should be cleaned periodically to maintain airflow and cooling efficiency.
- Unplug the unit.
- Locate and remove the air filter, typically found at the rear of the unit.
- Gently rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not use the unit without the filter.
Storage
