4. Setup and Assembly
Your OUXI V8 electric bike comes 85% pre-assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:
- Install the Front Wheel: Securely attach the front wheel to the fork.
- Attach the Headlight: Mount the headlight to the designated position on the front of the bike.
- Install the Rear Seat: If not already attached, secure the rear passenger seat.
- Mount the Handlebars: Fasten the handlebars to the stem, ensuring they are aligned and tightened.
- Inflate Tires: Inflate both fat tires to the recommended pressure (refer to tire sidewall for details).

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off and Display

To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the M5 LCD display. The display will show your current speed, battery level, odometer, and other vital information. To power off, press and hold the power button again.
5.2 Riding Modes
The OUXI V8 offers three distinct cycling modes:
- Pure Electric Mode: Engage the throttle for motor-only propulsion. The bike can reach speeds up to 31 MPH (Note: As a Class 2 e-bike, it is limited to 20 MPH by throttle only).
- Electric Assist Mode (Pedal Assist): The motor provides assistance as you pedal, making riding easier, especially on inclines. Adjust the assist level via the display controls.
- Pure Pedal Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle, using only your pedaling power.
5.3 Gearing and Braking

The Shimano 7-speed transmission allows you to easily shift gears to adapt to different terrains and riding conditions. Use the trigger shifter on the handlebars to change gears.

5.4 Battery and Charging

The 48V 15AH removable battery provides a riding range of 28-37+ miles on a full charge. To charge, remove the battery from the frame or charge it directly on the bike. A full charge typically takes 7-8 hours. Use only the provided charger.

6. Maintenance
