6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment
Press the power button to turn the light on or off. The brightness can be adjusted by pressing the designated buttons or rotating the control ring (if applicable to your model). The device defaults to full brightness upon power-on.
6.2 Using the Polarizing Feature
The iFixes iL37 includes a built-in polarizer and a rotatable analyzer. This feature is crucial for reducing glare and reflections, especially when viewing metallic components or highly reflective surfaces under the microscope.
- Insert Polarizer: Ensure the polarizer lens is correctly seated in its slot.
- Rotate Analyzer: Gently rotate the 360° analyzer ring on the light. Observe the microscope's view as you rotate. You will notice a significant reduction in glare and an improvement in color clarity and contrast.
- Adjust for Optimal View: Continue rotating until reflections are minimized and the details of your specimen are most visible. The polarizer can be removed if not needed.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the ring light. For the LED surface and polarizing lenses, use a lens cleaning cloth and appropriate lens cleaning solution to avoid scratches.
- Storage: Store the ring light in a clean, dry environment when not in use.
- Cable Care: Avoid bending or crimping the USB power cord excessively to prevent damage.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power, loose USB connection, faulty power source. | Check USB connection. Try a different USB port or power adapter. Ensure the power button is pressed. |
| Light is dim. | Low power USB source (e.g., computer USB port), brightness setting too low. | Connect to a high-power USB charger. Adjust brightness using the control. |
| Glare or reflections still visible. | Polarizer not correctly adjusted, polarizer lens dirty. | Rotate the analyzer ring to find the optimal position. Clean the polarizing lens. |
| Ring light is loose on the microscope. | Mounting screws not tightened sufficiently. | Ensure the three mounting screws are evenly and securely tightened. |
