Installation Guide

Proper installation is crucial for the performance and safety of your range hood. It is recommended to have two people for installation.

Pre-Installation Checklist

  • Ensure the cabinet opening dimensions match the range hood (11.77 x 35.43 x 13.66 inches).
  • Verify adequate electrical supply (110 Volts).
  • Determine if you will use ducted (vented) or ductless (recirculating) ventilation.
  • Maintain a recommended distance of 24 to 30 inches between the cooking surface and the bottom of the range hood.

Mounting the Range Hood

  1. Prepare the cabinet opening according to the product dimensions.
  2. If ducting, connect the ductwork to the top exhaust outlet. Ensure a secure and airtight connection.
  3. Carefully lift the range hood into the cabinet opening.
  4. Secure the range hood to the cabinet using the provided installation hardware. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
  5. Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet.
  6. Install the baffle filters into the designated slots.

Operating Instructions

Your VIKIO HOME range hood features both touch controls and gesture sensing for convenient operation.

Control Panel Overview

The control panel is located on the front of the unit and includes touch-sensitive buttons for various functions. Gesture sensing allows for hands-free control of certain features.

  • Power On/Off: Touch the power icon to turn the unit on or off.
  • Fan Speed Control: Cycle through 3 fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) by touching the fan speed icons. The powerful dual-intake motor provides up to 980 CFM for efficient smoke and odor removal.
  • Light Control: Touch the light icon to turn the LED lights on or off. The 4000K LED lights provide clear illumination for your cooking area.
  • Gesture Sensing: Wave your hand in front of the sensor to activate or adjust certain functions, such as turning the fan on/off or changing speeds. The advanced sensor offers 25% higher sensitivity.

Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your range hood.

Filter Cleaning

The stainless steel baffle filters are designed to capture grease and are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. Clean filters every 3-6 months, or more frequently depending on cooking habits.

  1. Turn off and unplug the range hood.
  2. Locate the filter release latches and carefully remove the baffle filters.
  3. Wash the filters in a dishwasher or by hand using hot water and a mild detergent.
  4. Allow filters to dry completely before re-installing.

Light Bulb Replacement

The range hood uses GU10 LED light bulbs. If a bulb needs replacement, ensure the power is off and the bulb has cooled before carefully twisting and removing the old bulb, then inserting a new one.
