3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage during transit. Ensure all listed components are present.

3.2 Attaching the Castor Wheels

  1. Invert the stainless steel tank.
  2. Insert the castor wheels into the designated slots on the base of the tank until they click securely into place.

3.3 Filter Installation

The type of filter required depends on whether you are performing dry or wet vacuuming.

  • For Dry Vacuuming: Install the cartridge filter onto the motor head's filter cage. Ensure it is seated correctly.
  • For Wet Vacuuming: Remove the cartridge filter. Install the foam filter over the filter cage. Ensure it covers the cage completely.

Important: Never use the cartridge filter for wet vacuuming, as this can damage the filter and the motor. Never use the foam filter for dry vacuuming, as it will not effectively capture fine dust.

3.4 Attaching the Hose and Accessories

  1. Insert the larger end of the hose into the suction inlet on the front of the tank until it locks.
  2. Attach the desired extension wands and nozzle (floor nozzle, crevice tool, or brush tool) to the other end of the hose.

4. Charging the Battery

The Bennett Read Titan is powered by an 18V, 4Ah Lithium-ion battery. For optimal performance, fully charge the battery before first use.

  1. Remove the battery from the vacuum cleaner by opening the battery compartment cover and pressing the release button.
  2. Connect the quick charger to a standard power outlet.
  3. Insert the battery into the charger. The charger indicator light will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
  4. A full charge from flat takes approximately 2 hours.
  5. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger and insert it back into the vacuum cleaner's battery compartment, ensuring it clicks into place.

Note: The battery provides up to 40 minutes of run-time per charge, depending on usage.

6. Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.

  • Cartridge Filter (Dry Use): Tap the filter gently to dislodge dust. For thorough cleaning, rinse under cool running water. Allow to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstallation. Do not use detergents or hot water.
  • Foam Filter (Wet Use): Rinse the foam filter under cool running water to remove debris. Squeeze out excess water and allow to air dry completely before storage or next use.

Caution: Never operate the vacuum cleaner with a wet filter for dry vacuuming, or without a filter installed.

6.2 Cleaning the Tank and Accessories

Wipe the stainless steel tank and accessories with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storage.

6.3 Storage

Store the vacuum cleaner and its accessories in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) for long-term storage to prolong its lifespan.
