Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Merax Softside Luggage Set. This set includes three softshell spinner suitcases (22", 26", 30"), a travel duffel bag, and a toiletry bag, designed for lightweight and durable travel. The luggage features expandable compartments, easy-access pockets, and a TSA-approved lock for enhanced security and convenience. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your new luggage set.

Setup

Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Upon receiving your Merax luggage set, carefully remove all items from the packaging. The smaller suitcases are designed to nest inside the larger ones for efficient storage. Inspect each piece for any signs of damage during transit. If any damage is found, please contact customer support immediately.

Setting the TSA Combination Lock

Your Merax luggage is equipped with a TSA-approved 3-digit combination lock. Follow these steps to set your personal combination:

1. Ensure the dials are set to the factory default combination (usually 0-0-0) before resetting.
2. Locate the small reset button or hole adjacent to the dials. Use a pen or a pointed object to press and hold this button.
3. While holding the reset button, rotate the dials to your desired 3-digit code.
4. Release the reset button. Your new combination is now set. Remember your combination as Merax cannot retrieve lost codes.

Operating Your Luggage

Using the Spinner Wheels

Each Merax suitcase features 360° durable spinner wheels, allowing for effortless maneuverability in any direction. To move your luggage, simply push or pull it alongside you. For rougher terrain, you may tilt the suitcase and pull it on two wheels.

Adjusting the Telescoping Handle

The suitcases are equipped with a sturdy, ergonomic telescoping handle that can be adjusted to multiple heights for comfortable pulling. Press the button on the handle grip to extend or retract it. Ensure the handle is fully extended or retracted before moving the luggage to prevent damage.

Utilizing Expandable Storage

All three suitcases feature an expandable compartment, providing up to 25% more packing space when needed. To expand, simply unzip the expansion zipper located around the perimeter of the suitcase. To compress, zip it back up. Note: The 22" carry-on luggage is not expandable to comply with common carry-on size limits.

Internal and External Pockets

The luggage features a functional interior design with tie-down straps to secure your belongings and an inner zippered pocket for small items. Two large front pockets with zippers provide quick access to essentials like passports, boarding passes, laptops, or books without fully opening the main compartment.

Duffel Bag and Toiletry Bag

The included duffel bag features a trolley sleeve with a zippered pocket, allowing it to be conveniently attached to the adjustable suitcase handle. The toiletry bag provides additional organization for smaller personal items.

Maintenance

Cleaning Instructions

• For general cleaning, wipe the exterior fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• For stubborn stains, use a fabric cleaner suitable for polyester materials, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
• Allow the luggage to air dry completely before storing to prevent mildew.
• Clean wheels periodically to remove dirt and debris, ensuring smooth rolling.

Storage

Store the luggage set in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The nesting design allows the smaller suitcases to fit inside the larger ones, saving storage space.

Troubleshooting

TSA Lock Issues

If you forget your combination, unfortunately, there is no master key provided to the user. You will need to try all 1000 combinations (000-999) or contact a locksmith. Always ensure the dials are correctly aligned when setting or entering your code.

Sticking Wheels or Handles

If wheels become stiff or handles stick, check for any trapped debris and clean thoroughly. A small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the wheel axles or handle rails if needed, but avoid oil-based lubricants which can attract dirt.
