3. Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Place the Station: Position the soldering station base unit on a stable, heat-resistant, and non-flammable surface. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Assemble Safety Holder: Place the cleaning sponge in the designated area of the safety holder. Dampen the sponge slightly with water before use. The tip cleaner (brass wool) should also be placed in its compartment.
- Connect Soldering Iron: Insert the pin plug of the soldering iron cable into the handle socket on the front of the soldering station base unit. Ensure it is securely connected.
- Select and Install Tip: Choose the appropriate soldering tip for your task. Unscrew the soldering iron nut, insert the desired tip, and then re-tighten the nut. Ensure the tip is fully seated.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the power outlet on the back of the soldering station, then plug the other end into a suitable electrical outlet (100-240V US Plug).
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Powering On and Temperature Setting
- Turn On: Flip the power switch on the side of the base unit to the "ON" position. The digital display will illuminate.
- Set Temperature: Use the "Up" and "Down" keys to adjust the desired temperature. The 2.9" LCD screen will show both the preset and actual temperature. The temperature range is 356°F-896°F (180°C-480°C).
- Temperature Unit Switch: To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), press and hold the "Function" key until the unit changes.
- Heating Up: The soldering iron will quickly heat up to the set temperature. The display will show the temperature rising.

4.2. Soldering Process
- Tinning the Tip: Before first use or after cleaning, apply a small amount of solder to the hot tip. This "tins" the tip, protecting it from oxidation and improving heat transfer.
- Clean the Tip: Periodically wipe the hot tip on the damp cleaning sponge or use the brass wool tip cleaner to remove excess solder and oxidation.
- Apply Heat: Place the hot soldering iron tip against both the component lead and the PCB pad you wish to solder. Allow a moment for both to heat up.
- Apply Solder: Touch the solder wire to the heated joint (not directly to the iron tip). The solder should melt and flow smoothly around the joint, forming a shiny, conical connection.
- Remove Iron and Solder: First remove the solder wire, then remove the soldering iron. Allow the joint to cool naturally without disturbance.
4.3. Using the Desoldering Pump
- Prepare Pump: Push down the plunger of the desoldering pump until it locks into place.
- Heat Solder: Heat the solder joint you wish to remove with the soldering iron until the solder melts.
- Apply Pump: Quickly place the nozzle of the desoldering pump over the molten solder and press the release button. The pump will create a vacuum, sucking up the molten solder.
- Repeat if Necessary: Repeat the process until all excess solder is removed.

4.4. Intelligent Features
- Default Startup Temperature: Customize the temperature the station starts at.
- Compensation Temperature: Adjust for minor temperature discrepancies.
- Password Setting: Protect settings from unintended changes.
- Sleep Time: The station features an automatic sleep mode (1-60 minutes) to conserve energy and prolong tip life. When the iron is placed in the holder, it will enter sleep mode after the set time. Picking up the iron will instantly reactivate it.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your soldering station.
- Tip Cleaning: Always clean the soldering tip before and after each use. Use the damp sponge or brass wool to remove oxidation and old solder. A clean, tinned tip is crucial for effective soldering.
- Tip Replacement: Replace soldering tips when they become excessively worn or corroded and can no longer be properly tinned. Ensure the station is off and cool before changing tips.
- Sponge Maintenance: Keep the cleaning sponge damp during operation. Replace it when it becomes heavily soiled or worn.
- Desoldering Pump Cleaning: Periodically disassemble the desoldering pump and clean out any accumulated solder from the nozzle and chamber.
- General Cleaning: Wipe down the soldering station base unit and iron handle with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Fuse Replacement: The unit has a spare fuse on the back. If the unit does not power on, check and replace the fuse if necessary. Ensure the unit is unplugged before attempting fuse replacement.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Station does not power on. | No power from outlet; Power switch off; Blown fuse. | Check power outlet; Ensure power switch is ON; Replace fuse (refer to Maintenance section). |
| Soldering iron not heating up. | Iron not properly connected; Faulty heating element/tip; Incorrect temperature setting. | Ensure iron cable is securely plugged in; Try a different tip; Increase temperature setting. |
| Solder not melting or poor solder joints. | Tip is oxidized/dirty; Temperature too low; Incorrect solder type. | Clean and tin the tip thoroughly; Increase temperature; Use appropriate solder for electronics. |
| Temperature display is erratic. | Loose connection; Sensor issue. | Check all connections; Contact customer support if problem persists. |
| Desoldering pump has low suction. | Nozzle clogged; Seal issues. | Clean the nozzle and internal chamber; Check for proper sealing of components. |
