1. Compatibility

This GYoYRoc Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Receiver is designed exclusively for Acura models equipped with the Factory Dual-Screen System. Please verify your vehicle's compatibility before installation.

  • Compatible Models:
    • Acura MDX (2014-2020)
    • Acura TLX (2015-2020)
    • Acura RDX (2014-2018)
    • Acura ILX (2016-2020)
  • Exclusions: This system is NOT compatible with older single-screen Navigation models (2013 and older) or the newer 2019+ RDX models featuring the touchpad system.

2. What's in the Box

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your GYoYRoc Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Receiver. Professional installation is recommended.

3.1. Module Dial Settings

Before connecting, configure the DIP switches on the module according to your specific Acura model to ensure correct resolution and functionality. Refer to the diagram below for the correct settings.

3.2. Wiring Connections

Connect the provided wiring harness to your vehicle's existing head unit. Ensure all connections are secure.

  • Connect the LVDS cable to the corresponding ports on the module and the original car's CD player.
  • Connect the main power plug to the designated socket on the CD player.
  • Connect the AUX plug to the corresponding port on the radio.
  • If applicable, connect the microphone extension cable.

4. Operating Instructions

This system integrates seamlessly with your vehicle's existing controls. The factory upper screen is non-touch, so all CarPlay/Android Auto functions are controlled via the original Central Control Knob/Jog Dial and Steering Wheel Buttons.

4.1. Wireless Connectivity

  • The system automatically connects to your CarPlay or Android Auto device wirelessly.
  • Displays navigation (Maps, Waze), music (Spotify), and other compatible apps on the large top screen.
  • Supports AirPlay / Mirroring for casting videos for passengers.

4.2. Control Methods

  • Steering Wheel Controls: Use existing steering wheel buttons for voice awakening, call answering/ending, media control (up/down), and volume adjustment. Press and hold for 2 seconds to enter the system page; short press to return to the HOME page.
  • Central Control Knob / Jog Dial: Use the central control knob to navigate the system. Press to enter app functions, use left/right dial for media control, and dial up/down to move the cursor. Press and hold for 2 seconds to enter the system page; short press to return to the HOME page.

4.3. OEM Bluetooth Audio

The system supports the Original Factory Bluetooth Channel for lossless, high-fidelity audio with zero background noise. To enable this, navigate to "System -> Factory Mode" and check "Phone Link Setting". The sound is transmitted directly to the car's amplifier via Bluetooth. AUX mode is also supported as a backup.

4.4. Retained Factory Features

The module fully retains compatibility with Acura's factory Reverse Camera and 360° Surround View System. The video feed switches automatically when the car is in reverse, maintaining all dynamic parking guidelines.

  • CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting:
    • Ensure your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled.
