5. Operating Instructions

5.2 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL™

The impact wrench features a 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL system, allowing you to select the appropriate speed and power for various applications. This includes an Auto Shut-Off mode and a Bolt Removal mode.

  • Mode 1: Low power for delicate applications or when precise control is needed.
  • Mode 2: Medium power for general fastening tasks.
  • Mode 3: Full power for maximum torque applications.
  • Mode 4 (Auto Shut-Off/Bolt Removal): This mode is designed to prevent over-tightening in forward and provides controlled bolt removal in reverse. In forward, it stops the tool once it senses the fastener is seated, preventing over-tightening. In reverse, it slows down the tool once the fastener is broken loose, preventing fastener run-off.

5.3 How to Change Modes

To cycle through the DRIVE CONTROL modes:

  1. Ensure the forward/reverse lever is set to the neutral (center) position.
  2. Pull the trigger twice in quick succession. The mode indicator lights on the tool will change to reflect the selected mode.
