  1. Select a suitable post or wall location that is easily accessible and provides clear line of sight to the gate/door.
  2. Use the keypad as a template to mark drilling points for the mounting screws.
  3. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
  4. Secure the keypad to the mounting surface using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.

3.3 Wiring Instructions

The Model 26-500 operates on 12–24 VAC/DC power. Refer to the wiring diagram provided with your specific gate/door opener system for proper connection. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Initial Power-Up and Master Code

Upon initial power-up, the keypad will perform a self-test. The default master code is typically set at the factory. It is highly recommended to change the master code immediately after installation for security purposes.

  1. Enter the current master code.
  2. Press the * key.
  3. Enter the new master code (four digits).
  4. Press the * key again to confirm. An audible tone will confirm successful programming.

4.2 Programming User Codes

The keypad can store up to 500 four-digit user codes.

  1. Enter the master code.
  2. Press the # key.
  3. Enter the desired new user code (four digits).
  4. Press the # key again to confirm. An audible tone will confirm successful programming.

4.3 Deleting User Codes

  1. Enter the master code.
  2. Press the * key twice.
  3. Enter the user code to be deleted.
  4. Press the * key again to confirm.

4.4 Latch Code Functionality

The latch code allows the gate/door to remain open until the code is entered again to close it. Consult your system's specific wiring for this feature.

4.5 Variable Relay Time

The relay output time can be adjusted from 1 to 9 seconds. This controls how long the gate/door remains activated after a valid code entry.

  1. Enter the master code.
  2. Press the # key twice.
  3. Enter the desired relay time (1-9 seconds).
  4. Press the # key again to confirm.
