6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and outdoor sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in the outdoor sensor and main unit (if battery-powered) when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- Outdoor Sensor Placement: For optimal longevity and accuracy, avoid placing the outdoor sensor in direct sunlight or heavy rain.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No outdoor temperature/humidity reading | Outdoor sensor not paired or out of range; low sensor battery. | Ensure sensor is within 100m of main unit. Re-pair sensor if necessary. Replace sensor batteries. |
| Incorrect time display | Poor DCF signal reception. | Relocate the main unit to an area with better signal reception (e.g., near a window, away from electronic interference). |
| Display is dim or off (on battery power) | Batteries are low; backlight timeout. | Replace main unit batteries. Press any button to activate backlight for 20 seconds. |
