Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Pro-Ject T1 Evo BT Turntable for optimal performance.

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the turntable on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and strong vibrations. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

2. Platter Installation

Gently place the heavy glass platter onto the central spindle. Ensure it sits flush and rotates freely. The sub-platter and drive belt are typically pre-installed, but ensure the drive belt is correctly positioned around the sub-platter and motor pulley.

3. Tonearm and Cartridge Setup

The Ortofon OM 10 cartridge is pre-mounted and aligned. Remove any stylus guard. Ensure the anti-skating weight is correctly attached (if applicable) and the tonearm is balanced according to the manufacturer's instructions. The T1 Evo BT is designed for ease of use, with minimal user adjustment required for the tonearm.

4. Connecting to Audio System

Connect the supplied RCA cables from the turntable's output to your amplifier's Phono input (if your amplifier has a built-in phono stage) or to a dedicated phono preamplifier. If using the built-in phono stage of the turntable, ensure the switch is set to "Phono". For line-level input on an amplifier, set the switch to "Line".

5. Power Connection

Connect the power supply to the turntable and then to a wall outlet. The turntable is now ready for operation.

Operating Instructions

1. Playing a Record

  1. Place a record on the platter.
  2. Select the correct speed (33 or 45 RPM) using the speed selector switch.
  3. Lift the tonearm using the cueing lever.
  4. Carefully position the tonearm over the desired track of the record.
  5. Lower the cueing lever to gently place the stylus onto the record.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

The T1 Evo BT features Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD for wireless streaming to compatible Bluetooth speakers or headphones.

  1. Ensure your Bluetooth receiving device (speaker/headphones) is in pairing mode.
  2. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button on the turntable (usually indicated by a Bluetooth symbol) until the indicator light flashes.
  3. Once paired, the indicator light will remain solid. You can now stream audio wirelessly.

3. Stopping Playback

To stop playback, lift the tonearm using the cueing lever and return it to its rest position. The platter will continue to spin until manually turned off or if auto-stop is engaged (if available on your model).
