Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

1. Emptying the Water Tank

When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. The 4.8L tank typically needs emptying every 2 days under normal conditions.

  1. Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  2. Carefully carry the tank to a sink or drain.
  3. Empty the collected water.
  4. Slide the empty water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. Ensure it is properly seated to resume operation.

2. Continuous Drainage Setup

For continuous operation without manually emptying the tank, use the included drain hose.

  1. Locate the continuous drainage port on the back or side of the unit.
  2. Remove the rubber stopper (if present).
  3. Connect the provided drain hose to the port. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks. The drain size is approximately 0.787 inches (20mm) inner diameter and 1.02 inches (26mm) outer diameter.
  4. Route the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large bucket) ensuring it is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage. Do not allow the hose to kink or be elevated above the drainage port.

3. Cleaning the Washable Filter

The washable filter should be cleaned regularly (approximately every two weeks or when the filter indicator light illuminates) to maintain air quality and unit efficiency.

  1. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Locate the air filter, typically behind the front grille or on the side.
  3. Gently remove the filter.
  4. Rinse the filter under running tap water (not hot water) to remove dust and debris. For heavy dirt, a mild detergent can be used, followed by thorough rinsing.
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
  6. Reinstall the dry filter into the unit.
  7. Plug in the unit and resume operation.
