1. Introduction and Safety Guidelines

This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your OUXI V8 Electric Bike. Please read it thoroughly before your first ride to ensure proper use and to maximize the lifespan of your e-bike.

Important Safety Information:

  • Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding.
  • Familiarize yourself with local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform a pre-ride inspection before each use, checking brakes, tires, and battery level.

2. Setup and Initial Preparation

Your OUXI V8 Electric Bike comes mostly pre-assembled. Follow these steps for final setup and initial preparation:

  1. Handlebar Installation: Securely attach the handlebars to the stem, ensuring all bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications.
  2. Pedal Attachment: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread them into the crank arms carefully. Note that the left pedal has a reverse thread. Tighten firmly.
  3. Seat Adjustment: Adjust the seat height to a comfortable and safe riding position, ensuring your feet can touch the ground when stopped.
  4. Battery Installation & Charging: The 48V 15Ah removable battery should be fully charged before its first use. Insert the battery into its compartment and lock it securely. Connect the charger to the battery and a power outlet. The charging time is approximately 7-8 hours for a full charge.
  5. Tire Inflation: Inflate the 20" fat tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.

3. Operating Your OUXI V8 Electric Bike

Understanding the controls and riding modes will enhance your experience.

3.1 Powering On/Off and LCD Display

To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the LCD display. The M5 LCD display will show your speed, battery level, odometer, and other vital information. To power off, press and hold the power button again.

3.2 Riding Modes

The OUXI V8 offers three distinct riding modes:

  • Bike Mode: Power off, normal riding by pedaling only.
  • Assisted Riding Mode: Power on, motor provides assistance as you pedal. Adjust assistance levels via the display.
  • Pure Electric Mode: Power on, use the throttle for propulsion without pedaling.

3.3 Gear Shifting and Braking

The bike is equipped with a 7-speed Shimano gear system, allowing you to adjust your pedaling effort to different terrains and speeds. Use the trigger shifter on the handlebar to change gears smoothly.

The OUXI V8 features reliable disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. Always apply both brakes simultaneously for effective and safe stopping. Regularly check brake pads and rotors for wear.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your OUXI V8 Electric Bike.

  • Battery Care: Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health. Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Tire Maintenance: Check tire pressure before each ride. The 20" x 4.0" fat tires are designed for various terrains; proper inflation is crucial for performance and safety. Inspect tires for wear or damage.
  • Brake System: Periodically inspect brake levers, cables, pads, and rotors for wear or damage. Adjust brakes as needed to ensure responsive stopping power.
  • Chain Lubrication: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth gear changes and prevent rust.
  • General Cleaning: Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.

5. Troubleshooting
