3.1. Connecting to a Source Device

The Questyle M15C is designed for plug-and-play operation with most compatible devices. No additional drivers are typically required for basic functionality.

  1. Connect one end of the provided Type-C to Type-C cable to the USB-C port on the M15C.
  2. Connect the other end of the Type-C cable to your smartphone, PC, or laptop.
    • For devices with a USB-A port, use the included Type-C to USB-A converter.
    • For iOS devices, ensure you are using an MFi-certified cable or adapter if not directly connecting via USB-C (for newer iPads/iPhones). The M15C itself is MFi certified.
  3. Once connected, the M15C will typically be recognized as an external audio device. Select it as your preferred audio output in your device's sound settings.

The M15C offers two headphone output options:

  • 3.5mm Single-Ended Output: For standard headphones and earphones.
  • 4.4mm Fully Balanced Output: For headphones with a balanced connection, offering improved sound separation and power.

Connect your headphones to the appropriate jack on the M15C.

4.2. Gain Adjustment

The M15C features a manual gain adjustment switch to optimize output for different headphones and listening preferences.

The M15C features an LED indicator that provides information about the current audio sampling rate:

  • 1x LED on: Indicates a sampling rate ≤ 48kHz.
  • 2x LEDs on: Indicates a sampling rate > 48kHz (high-resolution audio).

This indicator helps confirm that your device is receiving and processing high-resolution audio signals when available.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Questyle M15C, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials.
