Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Align the battery with the grooves on the back of the radio.
- Slide the battery upwards until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release latch (usually at the bottom of the battery) and slide the battery downwards.
2. Antenna Attachment
- Select the appropriate antenna for your desired frequency band (V85 for VHF/UHF, V21 for VHF/1.25M).
- Screw the antenna clockwise onto the connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Volume
Rotate the knob on the top of the radio clockwise to power on and increase volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.
Frequency/Channel Mode (VFO/MR)
Press the V/M button to switch between Frequency Mode (VFO) and Channel Mode (MR). In VFO mode, you can manually input frequencies. In MR mode, you can select pre-programmed channels.

Band Selection (A/B)
Press the A/B button to switch between the upper (A) and lower (B) display lines. This allows you to monitor two different frequencies or channels simultaneously.

Charging
The BF-F8HP PRO offers two convenient charging methods:
