Installation Guide
Follow these steps for proper installation of your recessed lights:
- Prepare the Ceiling: Use the provided cutting template to mark the desired hole size (6-1/4 inches recommended) on your ceiling. Carefully cut the hole.
- Connect Wiring: Open the junction box and connect the household wiring (live, neutral, ground) to the corresponding wires inside the junction box using the quick connectors. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Secure Junction Box: Tuck the connected wires and the junction box into the ceiling opening.
- Install Light Fixture: Connect the light unit to the junction box cable. Push the spring clips on the light fixture upwards and insert the fixture into the ceiling hole. The clips will spring back down to secure the light in place against the drywall.

App Setup and Control
Control your lights from anywhere using the CloudyBay app:
- Download App: Search for "CloudyBay" in the App Store or Google Play Store and download the application. Register and log in.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Add Device: Open the CloudyBay app, click the "+" icon in the top right corner, then select "Add Device".
- Pair Lights: Turn the lights on/off three times until they begin to breathe (flash). Enter your Wi-Fi information (SSID and password) in the app. Wait for the lights to show up in the app and add them.

Once connected, you can adjust brightness, change colors (RGBCW), and select various scenes directly from the app interface.

Voice Control Setup (Alexa & Google Home)
Integrate your lights with voice assistants for convenient control:
- Access Voice Services: In the CloudyBay app, go to the "Me" tab and tap the "Alexa" or "Google Assistant" icon under "Third-Party Voice Services".
- Link Account: Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in with your Amazon or Google account.
- Authorize Connection: Grant permission for the CloudyBay skill/action to link with your voice assistant.
- Discover Devices: Once linked, ask your voice assistant to discover new devices (e.g., "Alexa, discover my devices").

You can now use voice commands such as "Alexa, turn on the living room lights" or "Hey Google, set bedroom lights to blue."
Group Control and Scheduling
Organize your lights for easy management and automate your lighting schedule:
- Create Groups: In the CloudyBay app, select a light, then tap the edit icon (usually a pencil or three dots) in the top right corner. Choose "Create Group" and select the lights you wish to include.
- Set Schedules: Use the app's scheduling feature to set specific times for lights to turn on or off, or to change scenes. This is useful for daily routines or security.

Remote control allows you to manage your lights from anywhere, as long as your phone has internet access and the lights are connected to your home Wi-Fi.

Troubleshooting
- Lights not responding to app/voice:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz and stable.
- Check if the lights are properly paired in the CloudyBay app.
- Verify that your voice assistant (Alexa/Google Home) is correctly linked to your CloudyBay account.
- Power cycle the lights by turning off the circuit breaker for 10 seconds, then turning it back on.
- Lights flickering or not dimming correctly:
- These lights are not compatible with traditional dimmer switches. Ensure they are connected to a standard ON/OFF switch. Dimming is controlled via the app or voice commands only.
- Check for loose wiring connections in the junction box.
- Difficulty pairing lights:
- Make sure the lights are in pairing mode (flashing after 3 on/off cycles).
- Ensure your phone is close to the lights and connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during pairing.
- Reset the lights by performing the on/off cycle again.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your CLOUDY BAY LED Recessed Lights, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the surface of the light fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or electrical components.
- Inspection: Periodically check the light fixtures for any visible damage or loose connections. If any issues are found, turn off the power at the circuit breaker before inspecting further or contacting support.
- Software Updates: Keep your CloudyBay app updated to the latest version to ensure compatibility and access to new features or bug fixes.
