6. Water Resistance Guidelines

Your SKMEI 2225 watch is rated for 50 meters (5 ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for:

  • Daily use, such as handwashing and splashes.
  • Showering (cold water only).
  • Swimming in shallow water.

It is not suitable for:

  • Hot water activities (e.g., hot showers, saunas, hot tubs), as steam can penetrate seals.
  • Diving or snorkeling.
  • Operating buttons underwater, as this can compromise the water seal.

Always ensure the crown (if present) is pushed in completely after setting the time to maintain water resistance.

7. Care and Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your SKMEI 2225 watch.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying.
  • Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to strong chemicals, solvents, or detergents, as these can damage the case, strap, or seals.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for prolonged periods, as this can affect battery life and internal components.
  • Impact: While shock-resistant, avoid unnecessary impacts or drops to prevent damage.
  • Battery Replacement: When the display dims or functions become erratic, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
