4. Product Overview
4.1 Remote Control Functions
The remote control provides comprehensive control over your ceiling fan and lights. It requires AAA batteries (not included).

Figure 4.1: Remote Control Button Layout.
This diagram illustrates the layout of the remote control buttons, indicating their respective functions for fan speed, light control, and timing.
- ALL OFF: Turns off all loads (fan and light).
- Fan Speed Control (1-6): Adjusts fan speed from 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest).
- LED Indicator Light: Illuminates to confirm signal transmission.
- LIGHT ON/OFF: Turns the light on or off.
- FAN ON/OFF: Turns the fan on or off.
- F/R (Forward/Reverse): Controls fan direction for summer (downward airflow) and winter (upward airflow) modes.
- Natural Wind Mode: Simulates natural breeze by varying fan speed.
- Fan Timing Control (1H/2H/4H): Sets the fan to turn off automatically after 1, 2, or 4 hours.
4.2 Receiver Unit
The receiver unit is the central component that receives signals from the remote control and translates them into commands for the ceiling fan. It is designed to be placed within the fan's top canopy. The receiver operates on 110-240V, 50/60Hz.
5. Setup and Installation
Important: Before beginning installation, ensure power to the ceiling fan circuit is turned off at the main circuit breaker.
5.1 Compatibility Check
This remote control kit is exclusively designed for Forrovenco brand 60-inch, 3-blade ceiling fans with lights. It is not compatible with other brands or ceiling fans with five or eight blades. Ensure your fan matches these specifications.

This image displays examples of Forrovenco 3-blade ceiling fans, emphasizing that the remote kit is only suitable for this specific type and size (60-inch) of fan.
5.2 Wiring Connection
Follow these steps carefully for wiring the receiver:
- Identify Ceiling Wires: In the USA, the white wire coming out of your wall is typically neutral, and the black wire is the live wire.
- Connect Receiver Input: Connect the black wire from the receiver to the black (live) wire from the ceiling. Connect the white wire from the receiver to the white (neutral) wire from the ceiling. Ensure these connections are secure.
- Connect Receiver Output to Fan: The remaining five wires from the receiver (red, pink, gray, blue, white) need to be connected directly to the corresponding color five wires coming from the end of the fan's downrod. Match colors precisely (e.g., red to red, pink to pink, etc.).
- Position Receiver: Carefully place the receiver unit into the top canopy of the ceiling fan, ensuring it does not obstruct any moving parts or wiring.

Figure 5.2: DC Wiring Connection Guide.
This diagram provides a visual guide for connecting the receiver's wires to both the household electrical supply and the ceiling fan's internal wiring, emphasizing color-to-color matching.
5.3 Remote Control Pairing
After wiring the receiver and restoring power, you may need to pair the remote control with the receiver. This ensures the remote communicates correctly with your fan.
- Install AAA batteries into the remote control (ensure correct polarity).
- Restore power to the ceiling fan circuit at the main circuit breaker.
- Within 5 seconds of restoring power, press and hold the "ALL OFF" button on the remote control.
- You should hear a "beep" sound from the fan, indicating successful pairing.
- Test all functions of the remote control to ensure proper operation.
Note: If pairing is unsuccessful, repeat the steps. Ensure you press and hold the "ALL OFF" button promptly after restoring power.
6. Operating Instructions
Once installed and paired, use the remote control to operate your ceiling fan:
- Fan ON/OFF: Press the FAN ON/OFF button to turn the fan on or off.
- Fan Speed: Use buttons 1 through 6 to select the desired fan speed. 1 is the lowest speed, 6 is the highest.
- Light ON/OFF: Press the LIGHT ON/OFF button to toggle the light.
- Fan Direction (Summer/Winter Mode): Press the F/R button to reverse the fan blade direction.
- Summer Mode (Forward - F): Downward airflow creates a cooling effect.
- Winter Mode (Reverse - R): Upward airflow circulates warm air near the ceiling.
- Natural Wind: Press the Natural Wind button to activate a mode that varies fan speed to simulate a natural breeze.
- Timer Function: Press 1H, 2H, or 4H to set the fan to automatically turn off after 1, 2, or 4 hours, respectively.
