Operating Your Popcorn Maker
Popping Popcorn
- Place the Popcorn Maker base on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Add up to 4.5 quarts (approximately 18 cups) of popcorn kernels to the Heating Plate. The innovative stirring bar will ensure even popping.
- Add a small amount of oil if desired. The stirring bar design allows for less oil compared to traditional methods.
- Place the Clear Dome Lid securely onto the base.
- Plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet.
- Press the Power Switch to the "ON" position. The stirring bar will begin to rotate, and the heating plate will warm up.
- Popcorn will begin to pop within a few minutes. Allow the machine to operate until popping slows to 1-2 seconds between pops.
- Press the Power Switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance from the outlet.
- Carefully remove the Clear Dome Lid using the easy-grip handles. Be cautious of hot steam. The lid can be inverted and used as a serving bowl.
- Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
Melting Butter
The Top Steam Vent on the Clear Dome Lid can be used to melt butter while popcorn is popping. Place a small amount of butter in the vent opening. The heat from the popping process will melt the butter, allowing it to drizzle over the popcorn as it pops.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Always unplug the Popcorn Maker from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the Clear Dome Lid and Popcorn Bowl. These parts can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. They are also top-rack dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the Heating Plate and the exterior of the base with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use a non-abrasive sponge with a small amount of mild detergent.
- Do NOT immerse the electrical base unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing the appliance.
- Store the Popcorn Maker in a cool, dry place.
